On Sometimes I Wish We Were An Eagle, Bill Callahan finds that old downtrodden energy but redefines it on these nine story telling tracks that are completely enthralling. All but one are over 4 and 5 minutes in length, while the stunning closer "Faith/Void" passes the nine minute mark as Callahan "puts God away" and begins his search for something else. When he finds it, we will definitely be eager to listen again!DL
